Hello to everyone who is part of or wants to join this crazy party we call Rapids swimming. The Rio Rapids swim team is a high-quality swim program offered to participants ranging from ages 4 to 18. Fun, friendship, team spirit, fitness and healthy competition, coupled with a focus on the fundamentals of swimming, are highly emphasized. It is our mission to establish a postitive environment in which children are encouraged to work hard and improve their skills while building self-esteem and self-confidence.

We take a hands-on approach here at Rio, and our coaching staff is in the water working with your children everyday. Our coaches are young, enthusiastic, and love to have good times with all swimmers and parents. Make friends with your coaches and feel free to contact any of them at any time for any reason. We are here to serve but graciously accept bribes of food, Kings tickets or just smiles to keep us going through the season.

We want all of you to feel like a part of this family and to help out in making this family work. Parent involvement is vital to our success because, with the support of club management, parent volunteers conduct and run all swim meets and other swim-team-related activities. So jump right in and lend us a hand. It will make your experience much more enjoyable. But, its not all work and no play. We have a number of social events such as the parent cocktail party, swim for funds with a DJ and dancing, summer barbecues, and karaoke night that help inspire our wild sides. The people who are a part of this program are just darn good people. You might suddenly end up with too many friends and and incredibly busy social life!

We swim fast and every child who swims here gets faster. We guarantee that, if your children come to practice, they will not only improve their technique but their own personal times as well. We have won six league championships in the last eight years. This will be our sixth consecutive year going for the Dual Meet Championship award for being undefeated in league meets.
